From North to South, East to West, baker Danielle Konya is cooking up popularity among the "stars" with her line of dairy-free, delectable desserts.
You can find Konya battering up brownies, cinnamon rolls and cheesecakes (oh my!) in her "Vegan Treats" bakery in Bethlehem. She can even make wedding cakes -- all without dairy products, of course. So, they're not only mmm...mmm...good, they're mmm...mmm...good for you too.
Among her celebrity clientele: Gwenyth Paltrow, "Bones" star Emily Deschenel, actor Jason Schwartzman and Coner Oberst from the band Bright Eyes. Locals can't get enough of her yummy treats either.
The birth of this booming business began in Konya's apartment ten years ago. Today, she delivers to more than 60 restaurants in the New York city area.
