Getting Back on Track: I Forgot How Hard It Was

Week 1

So, it's my first week working out as I get back on track with my fitness plan and I'm honestly exhausted.

I forgot how rough the first few weeks of a new workout plan can really be.

Unlike the first time around, I'm using an at home program to get into shape and it really is much more insane.

The program calls for one hour long workout six days a week, but somedays, like today, they tack on an extra 15 minute ab workout -- it's rough.

Anyway, my point is, that even though I'm worn out, I'm sticking to it. The best thing to do is take your time, focus, breathe and do what you can.

There are things in these workouts I can't comfortably do, so I do what I can. I always try, though.

And when next week's set rolls around, I'll be able to do a little more. So keep on pushing through it and don't get disgusted if you feel like you aren't a pro. Because, in reality, you're not and you're not going to be for a long while.

But to get there you need to keep working.

I used to be really fat, now I'm just a little bit, but am getting back on track to finish what I started. I'm sharing my experience here on NBCPhiladelphia.com and the NBC10 HeathWatch fan page.
