Actor/environmentalist Ed Begley, Jr. is riding his bicycle through Philadephia today. It's part of his trip through 5 cities in 5 days to help people save energy and money this winter.
Begley has a few simple solutions for saving big bucks. With a tight economy and cold winter ahead, he's telling people how to best use energy-saving appliances along with other ways to go green.
Here's his schedule today:
9:30 AM – 11:30 AM Meet at City Hall and bike with Ed to Strawberry Mansion Bridge in Fairmount Park. Get a free t-shirt while supplies last! Learn about energy savings this winter and chance to win energy-saving prizes.
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Ed reminds shoppers again to put energy-saving appliances on their holiday gift lists. Meet Ed at Lowe’s of W. Philadelphia at 1500 North 50th Street. Ed will sign autographs and talk with customers about how to use common household appliances to save energy. Chance to win prizes while supplies last.
