School Supplies for Just $9 at Wal-Mart

Low prices on school supplies

The economy forced some parents to cut back on many things this year. With school just around the corner there was no surprise that they wanted to be selective when buying school supplies.

But, that was before Wal-Mart came to the rescue.

Wal-Mart was offering $9 products and also laptops starting at $298. The $9 offers ranges from back-to-school supplies to eyeglass frames and folders, according to the store.

“In light of the current economy and challenging job market, we know that parents and teachers are going to be looking for a little extra financial help this year,” said Wal-Mart’s Vice-President of merchandising, Andy Barron. “Wal-Mart can make a big difference for shoppers who take advantage of our unbeatable prices, including our $9 offerings, to meet all their school supply needs,”

Among the many $9 products were notebooks, flash drives, scientific calculators and a variety of boys and girls basics like socks and underwear -- always important to have those.

The laptop specials include 3GB Compaq Presario notebook below $300. The Acer eight-hour battery laptop starting at $548. And an HP dv2 notebook with a 500 GB hard drive for $698.

The newest addition at Wal-Mart this month was the Dell Inspiron 1545 that will only put you out $398 and comes in your favorite colors.

“We know all students need solutions that integrate work, entertainment and portability,” said Wal-Mart’s Senior Vice-President, Gary Severson. “Our increased assortment delivers more targeted offerings from great brands at dramatically affordable process.”
