Tasty Baking 2Q profits at $2.3 million

Tasty Baking Co. today reported second-quarter earnings of $2.3 million (27 cents a share) on sales of $47 million, compared with earnings of $100,000 (1 cent a share) on sales of $44.6 million in the comparable period a year ago.
