Pennsylvania governor Edward G. Rendell yesterday doled out $12 million in grants - with $3.02 million coming to this region - for clean energy alternatives that he said will produce 1,200 full and parttime jobs, attract $118 million in private investment and reduce energy use. The grants are administered through the Pennsylvania Energy Development.
