PNC, in 4Q loss, to cut 5,800 jobs

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - PNC Financial Services Group Inc. said today that it plans to cut 5,800 jobs following its acquisition of National City Corp. last year and said it swung to a loss during the fourth quarter.
