Dear Harry: My hours at work have been cut back from a pretty steady 42 to 38. I'm looking for ways to cut back on some expenses. We've cut back on clothing and eating out. Our kids take SEPTA to school instead of being driven. We're more careful with air conditioning and heat. We are now looking at our insurance. Our life insurance is a fixed-premium, group life through my employer, so there's not much to be done there. What about homeowner's and auto insurance?
