Checkpoint cites soft market as earnings fall

Checkpoint Systems said it earned $6.89 million (18 cents a share) on revenues of $181.9 million for the second quarter, compared with $14.37 (36 cents a share) on revenues of $236.2 million for the comparable quarter a year ago.
