Unemployed? Looking for a new job?
Have no fear, Pennsylvania.
In its monthly look at state job trends, the Labor Department reported that the Keystone State recorded the third-best employment gain in the country -- more than 22,000 jobs in March. Maryland saw the biggest gain with more than 35,000 payroll jobs.
What’s also encouraging is that 33 states posted increases in employment.
Things are looking up in the Keystone State -- but we can’t say the same for Michigan.
Unfortunately, Michigan continued to have the nation's highest unemployment rate at 14.1 percent. The Great Lake State keeps running dry, leading the country in job losses with a decline of 9,500.
Nevada and Florida also posted a sizable decline and were among 17 states recording job losses for the month.
