No More Breakfast? Guilty as Charged

Here’s a sign of the times and another reason to loathe jury duty.

If you were called to serve as a juror in Philly, the one thing you could look forward to was a little breakfast spread complete with snacks and coffee as you wasted your day away.

The city can’t afford the $104,000 a year convenience in the face of a billion dollar budget deficit.

This week was the last week for the breakfast.

Court administrator David Lawrence says this is just one of many ways he’s looking to cut costs. He’s also looking at hiring freezes.
