For Governor Chris Christie, his road to the White House requires traversing the George Washington Bridge.
Before Thursday's press conference I was uncertain whether he could make it across the “world’s busiest bridge,” but now I would say that he at least has a shot -- even if some of the lanes are closed.
I, and many others, have criticized the governor’s handling of the situation thus far.
For me, I evaluated Gov. Christie’s initial response through a crisis management lens rather than from a political perspective.
Having helped numerous organizations and leaders through a myriad of public reputation and crisis challenges, I can tell you that crises define a leader.
