Challenges, But not Pickets, Await Sunoco

Sunoco Inc. may have narrowly escaped a strike at its two Pennsylvania refineries this week by reaching tentative deals with the United Steelworkers. But beyond the bargaining table, the Philadelphia oil giant still faces a range of challenges from a weakened economy that both sides called a catalyst for compromise.
