SugarHouse Completes $164 Million Expansion Project

Nearly two years and $164 million later, SugarHouse Casino's renovation and expansion project is complete.

Casino officials will be joined Monday by State Senator Larry Farnese, City Councilman Mark Squilla; City Council President Darrell Clarke and Congressman Bob Brady for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Delaware Avenue destination.

The project added a parking garage and increased the casino size by more than 150,000 square feet. It also brought several new restaurants to Fishtown. Local favorites Geno's Steaks, Tacconelli's Pizzeria and Saxbys Coffee now have spaces in the casino and a high-end steakhouse, Hugo's Frog Bar and Chop House, will has its first and only Philadelphia location at SugarHouse. And the Poker Night in America room has also been added.
