    When she was 27 years old -- and pregnant -- Ashley Tyrner left her Malibu, California, life behind to move to New York City.

    She needed a fresh start, but it wasn’t easy. Tyrner was struggling financially after a messy divorce. She was forced to rely on food stamps to survive. And she couldn’t afford the organic food she was used to across the country.
