Sixers Season Ticket Sales Get Draft-Fueled Assist

While time will tell what impact landing the top pick in this year’s NBA draft has on the Philadelphia 76ers’ performance on the court, the hoopla is already paying dividends off the court.

The Sixers, who used that pick to draft Louisiana State University forward Ben Simmons, said they have sold more than 2,000 new season tickets between the end of the regular season and the end of draft day.

During the past three seasons of the team’s rebuilding “process,” derisively referred to around the league as "tanking,” the Sixers finished in the bottom three in the 30-team NBA in attendance.
