Revel Casino License Can't Transfer to New Owner

In another hiccup in the ongoing Revel saga, New Jersey gaming regulators say the structure’s casino license can’t simply be transferred to its new owner.

The state Division of Gaming Enforcement on Monday said Revel’s casino license can’t be transferred over to Florida developer Glenn Straub’s Polo North Country Club in bankruptcy court, according to the Associated Press.

Glenn needs to be approved for a separate license from the state Casino Control Commission to operate the casino, according to AP; he’s not authorized to own the gaming equipment inside such as the slot machines.
