Robert Morris University President Gregory Dell'Omo said in a statement Thursday that he has withdrawn his name from consideration for the presidency of La Salle University.
A report from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Thursday morning said Dell'Omo was poised to be named La Salle's president. But RMU said in a statement that he and the university's board of directors "failed to come to terms" on an agreement.
La Salle spokesman Jon Caroulis said there was nothing to report when contacted Thursday. Representatives for RMU were not immediately available for comment.
"I wish La Salle University the very best as their search continues," DellβOmo said in a prepared statement. Read more about this story on PBJ.com.
