Temple Finds New Provost From Within Its Own Ranks

JoAnne A. Epps, dean of Temple University’s Beasley School of Law since 2008 and a faculty member for more than 30 years, has been nominated as the school's new executive vice president and senior academic administrator.

If the nomination by Temple President Neil D. Theobald is approved by the university’s board of trustees, Epps would replace Hai-Lung Dai, who was removed from the position last month in the wake of increased enrollment leaving a $22 million financial aid shortage.

As the university’s chief academic officer, Epps would oversee a portfolio that includes faculty affairs, student affairs, enrollment management and computer services.
