Now we continue our Get a Job Week with Resume Tips.

If you've been sending out a ton of resumes but not getting any bites, you maybe making critical mistakes.

Here is the best advice from job consultant Kristin Kane of Kane Partners.

First, start your resume with a targeted profile -- 3-5 sentences that summarizes your experiences. That's a great way to pull the reader in.  Be sure to use the third person and keep the information fact based.

Kane says using keywords with action verbs is the best way to show you have the experience needed. Each job description calls for certain skills that you have the show.

Use bullets that start with action verbs, followed by an explanation. Also Kane says don't use "I" or list the words "Responsible for" on each bullet.

Just providing those bullets are not enough, you need to support them with substance.

Quantify or qualify your skills by sating some examples of how you delivered on time projects or saved the company money or improved some process.

By doing this it will show what a contributing employee you are.
