Woman Set Ablaze in Bristol, Pa.: Cops

A woman walking her dog made a gruesome discovery Sunday morning in Bristol, Pa.

The woman reported a fire in the woods behind Bristol Plaza on Durham Road around 10:30, Bristol Township Police said.

When firefighters got on the scene they discovered a makeshift homeless shelter ablaze and an unidentified woman screaming and on fire.

Firefighters put out the fire but it was too late for the woman. She was declared dead shortly after being taken to a nearby hospital suffering from burns.

It appeared that the woman was intentionally set on fire, police said.

It wasn’t clear if she was homeless. And no further details were available as of Sunday night.
