Woman Dead, Teen Stable After Double Shooting

A shooting occurred Wednesday night on the 1100 Block of Davis Street in Wilmington, Delaware.

When Police arrived at the scene they found a woman in her 40s with a gunshot wound on her upper torso. She was taken to Christiana Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The Wilmington News-Journal says the killing is the 27th homicide in the city this year, breaking the all-time high for homicides in Wilmington of 26 recorded in 2008.

A second victim, a teenage boy, was shot once in his upper body. He was also taken to Christiana Hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

Police have no information regarding any suspects or the circumstances of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
