A cargo ship fire is under control now in South Philadelphia.
We heard the alarm around 12:15 p.m.
Fire crews reported seeing smoke when they got to the scene at 5195 S. 19th Street, which is on the backside of the Philadelphia Navy Yard.
When Chopper 10 flew overhead about 30 minutes later, the fire was under control. No one was hurt.
Our NCB10 ground arrived on the scene but was not allowed to shoot any video -- they were told to get off the property. We're working to find out who owns the barge and how the fire started.
