Child Dies, 3 Hurt in Bucks Co. Crash

Crash likely caused by car speeding: report

A child died and three other people were hospitalized after a serious car crash in Bucks County Wednesday night.

Police say it happened in Doylestown shortly after 7 p.m. A Ford Mustang and a Honda collided at North Broad Street and the Doylestown Bypass. Several people were trapped inside one of the vehicles and had to be extracted by rescue crews.

Police say a child in the car died in the accident. Two people were taken to Abington Hospital and a fourth was flown to Temple University Hospital.

Pa. Route 611 was closed for a few hours but later reopened.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation but Philly.com reports that the driver of that county reconstruction experts found that the Mustang was traveling at a high-rate of speed when it crashed into the Honda.
