SEPTA Train Strikes, Kills Stumbling Man

A man was struck and killed tonight after he fell in front of SEPTA train on the Broad Street Subway in South Philadelphia.

An approaching northbound train hit the man at the Tasker-Morris station around 6:45, according to a SEPTA spokesman.

The spokesman says that surveillance video showed a man stumbling on the platform prior to the train arriving.

Police didn't identify the man.

Trains continued to run after the incident but that they weren’t stopping at the Tasker-Morris station. By 11 p.m., SEPTA said that trains began stopping at the station again.
