SEPTA Bus Overturns on Route 1

Three-vehicle crash leaves 4 hurt

A SEPTA Paratransit bus overturned along the Roosevelt Boulevard extension in East Falls early Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened on Route 1, south of Fox Street and left four people hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The SEPTA driver claims he was cut off by another vehicle and had to swerve to avoid crashing into any other vehicles, according to the transit authority.

The driver wasn't hurt in the wreck but a passenger and an attendant were injured, SEPTA says.

Two cars were also involved in the accident and left two other people hurt, according to authorities.

The Southbound lanes were closed intermittently as investigators tried to figure out with this wreck and an earlier crash.
