Fire at Doylestown Church

Flames break out at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa

Fire broke out Wednesday night at a Doylestown, Pa. church.

The blaze started around 7:30 at the candle chapel off of the Main Church at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa on Ferry Road, according to firefighters.

The chapel contains hundreds of burning votive candles that visitors light to remember loved ones or as part of prayer.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get the flames under control, they said.

There were no reports of injury.

The fire didn't reach beyond the candle chapel and officials were working to figure out what caused the blaze.
