One Man Arrested, Another Sought for Bowling Alley Shooting

New Castle County Police have arrested a man who was allegedly involved in the shooting at First State Bowling Alley on Friday, Jan. 28.

Anthony Stanley, 26, of Wilmington, has been charged with three counts of assault in the first degree, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and other related offenses.

Police say that Stanley fired rounds while inside the bowling alley.

Stanley was shot in his left thigh and buttock.

Police also say that 18-year-old Leshawn Washington of Wilmington is another suspect in the shooting. They are seeking the public’s help in finding Washington and consider him armed and dangerous.

Stanley was arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute. He failed to post $77,000 secured bond.

The shooting happened during a reunion for Chester High School’s class of 2002. Six people were shot though none of the injuries were life threatening.

Police also believe that a third suspect was involved in the incident.
