Police say a man whose decomposed body was found in Bucks County over the weekend died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators say a man was walking on a trail around 4 p.m. on Saturday near an abandoned industrial park on M-Y Lane in Morrisville when he found a decomposed body under a tarp in a wooded area.
On Monday, the Bucks County Coroner announced the body was that of a man between the ages of 40 and 50. The coroner also ruled the man's death a suicide and said he died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
According to the coroner, the body appeared to have been in the woods for about three to five months based on the amount of decomposition.
The man has not yet been identified.
