Teen Playing With Gun Shot in Nicetown

16-year-old, other kids playing with gun when it went off, cops say

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the head in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia Tuesday night in what appears to be a case of kids playing with a gun.

Police on the scene said four kids were playing with a gun inside a home on the 3900 block of Elser Street when it went off hitting a 16-year-old boy in the head, police said.

Authorities are looking for the teen they say was holding the gun that injured the victim.

The victim was taken to Temple Hospital where he was in critical condition.
