    West Philly Apt. Fire Goes to 2 Alarms

    June 15, 2011: The Red Cross set up a center to help apartment residents who were misplaced after a two alarm fire at their West Phillly complex.

    Fire crews battling a fourth floor apartment fire in West Philadelphia on Wednesday morning.

    You could see heavy smoke and flames shooting out of the windows around 11 a.m.

    The apartment is located at 5516 Haverford Avenue.

    A 34-year old man was taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

    The Red Cross set up a reception center at the Shepard Rec Center at 57th and Haveerford Avenue for apartment resident diplaced by the fire.
