Upset Driver Fights Police Officers: Cops

Motorist allegedly becomes angry after a tow truck is called to impound his car

Authorities say an upset driver was in custody Tuesday morning after he started fighting three police officers overnight.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. after Philadelphia Police officers pulled over a driver at 40th and Aspen Streets in the Mantua section of the city, according to authorities.

During the traffic stop the driver allegedly lost his temper and assaulted the officers after they called a tow truck to impound his car, said police.

The officers only suffered minor injuries and did not need to go to the hospital, police said.

The unidentified driver was arrested and his car was impounded.
