NJ House Fire Injures 4

Four people including a homeowner & firefighters are injured in blaze

A house fire left four people, including two firefighters, injured Tuesday morning.

Flames broke out sometime before 10 a.m. on the unit block of Monroe Avenue in Mantua, N.J., according to investigators.

Firefighters brought the flames under control by 10:55 a.m. but not before two people in the home and two firefighters were hurt.

The extent of the injuries to the firefighters was unclear but a resident in the home suffering serious injuries and was in critical condition, according to authorities.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
