Man Strangled and Lit on Fire at Omni Hotel: Police

The fire fatality at the Omni Hotel has been ruled a homicide, according to police.

The victim, Patrick Brady, worked at Jefferson Hospital as an IT employee. He often stayed at the hotel while he was on call.

Brady suffered trauma to the hands, face and eyes, according to investigators. They also say that he was strangled before he was set on fire.

Police are currently reviewing surveillance video to see if it shows a suspect fleeing the hotel.
