A man's badly decomposed body was found behind a condo complex in Delaware County on Wednesday morning.
The unidentified body was found by a woman walking near Crum Creek in Nether Providence behind the Crum Creek Valley Condos on Avondale Avenue.
A source tells NBC Philadelphia that a head and noose were on an embankment of the creek.
Neighborhood residents say that they believe the body had been there for several days.
"I smelled something odd, I'll use that word. I said I smelled something to my husband and friends, they said it was probably just the creek. But then this happened. So I did smell something odd," says one neighbor to NBC Philadelphia.
Police are working to identify the man and determine how he died.
