Elderly Man Beaten to Death in Lansdowne

Man's body found 5 to 10 days after he was beaten to death: police

A grisly discovery was made in a Lansdowne, Pa. Wednesday when a 70-year-old man was found beaten to death inside his home.

A friend checking in on Murray Seidman found the man's body around 4 p.m. Wednesday in his unit at on the Ath Dara Apartments at 83 S. Lansdowne Ave.

The friend ran down the hallway yelling, "Oh my God, there's blood everywhere! Call 911," according to a witness who didn't want to be identified.

Seidman was dead for five to 10 days before he was found, Lansdowne Police said.

The elderly man who lived alone suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries, according to cops.

Exact details remained few but there were no signs of forced entry, police said.
