Sandusky Released From County Jail

He posted the $250,000 cash bail after spending a night in jail on two new charges of child sex abuse.

Jerry Sandusky has posted the $250,000 cash bail and has been freed from jail Thursday and put on an electronic monitoring device.

Sandusky posted the bail after spending a night in a Centre County jail on two new charges of child sex abuse.

The former Penn State assistant football coach was rearrested Wednesday afternoon, and led out of his home in handcuffs

"They wanted this sort of show," Sandusky's attorney, Joe Amendola contested Wednesday evening, saying prosecutors knew that Sandusky would have turned himself in, if asked.

"If this is the way the case is going to be handled by the other side, we can do things to kind of make it miserable too," Amendola said.

Sandusky, 67, is now accused in a total of ten cases of child sex abuse. His preliminary arraignment is next Tuesday. At least six of the victims mentioned in the grand jury reports will testify. It's expected to draw such a crowd that the county put a lottery in place to determine who will get a seat inside the courtroom.
