A woman who was in front of her home was caught in a shootout between two men in the Grays Ferry neighborhood of Philadelphia on Friday and killed.

Police say the two men were firing at each other and fired off about 18 shots. The woman, 45, was hit multiple times, police say. She ran up on her porch, collapsed and later died at the hospital.

Neighbors identified the victim as Clarice Douglass, a mother of a young son and daughter.

"It appears she was totally an innocent bystander, it's sad she was shot and killed," Captain James Clark said.
