Gas Line Hit in Tredyffrin Township

No injuries reported after contractor hits gas line

A contractor hit a gas line causing roads to be closed in Tredyffrin Township Wednesday morning.

The contractor hit the gas line around 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Upper Gulph Road and N Wayne Avenue, according to dispatchers.

There appeared to be no explosion and no injuries were reported.

Chopper 10 captured police directing traffic around the area.

Around 10:45 a.m., crews were seen examining a long hole dug into the ground. It’s not exactly clear if that is where the gas line was contacted.

No nearby homes were evacuated.
