A Doylestown police officer was shot late Saturday night as Hurricane Irene slammed the area with rain and winds.
The shooting happened just around midnight on the 100 block of W Swamp Road, according to reports.
The officer was at a local hospital in unknown condition.
Details on what led to the shooting remained unclear.
