Car Hits Woman Police Officer on Bike

The officer was hit in Center City during the Tuesday rush hour. She's in stable condition.

A woman police officer in Philadelphia was hit by a car during rush hour on Tuesday afternoon in Center City.

The officer was on a bike when the accident happened at 13th and Market Streets.

She was initially reported to be in serious condition but is now in stable condition at Jefferson Hospital. The officer may have broken some toes.

The driver involved in the accident was held at the scene so that police could run his license. Everthing came back fine and he was let go. No charges will be filed.
