Actress Lori Petty was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving in Venice and spent more than five hours in jail in Van Nuys before posting bail Sunday, police said.
Petty allegedly hit a skateboarder with her car in Venice about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, said Los Angeles police spokesman Bruce Borihanh. Borihanh said the skateboarder was treated for injuries at the scene.
Petty was not injured, according to Borihanh.
The actress was booked into the Van Nuys jail on suspicion of felony DUI at 1:21 a.m. and was released at 6:48 a.m. after posting $100,000 bail, according to county records.
The 45-year-old actress is best known for her role as Keanu Reeves' surfer girlfriend in the 1991 movie "Point Break."
Petty also had roles in "A League of Their Own," in 1992. She starred in "Tank Girl" in 1995 and "The Glass Shield," a 1995 police corruption movie, in which she played an L.A. County sheriff's deputy.
