The biggest Deadhead around is alive and well - in the White House.
President Barack Obama met with the surviving members of rock supergroup the Grateful Dead Monday evening in the Oval Office, the Washington Post reported.
The band, who will reunite for a one-night only show in Washington, D.C. Tuesday, stopped at the White House to chat with the man they credited with bringing them back together.
Obama and the living members of the band - Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann - talked history and politics in the Oval Office, according to the Post.
The rockers, who wore tie-dyed T-shirts to the White House, also met with senior advisors and fellow Deadheads David Axelrod and Pete Rouse as well as deputy chief of staff Jim Messina.
All three of the politicians were set to attend Tuesday's concert, the Post reported.
The Grateful Dead campaigned for Obama during the 2008 election, creating the "Deadheads for Obama" grassroots movement that trucked across the country.
