The U.S. Coast Guard collected 137 bales of marijuana that were dumped overboard by a smuggling vessel that fled the area.
The Coast Guard cutter didn't bother chasing the traffickers, but instead collected the drugs and turned them over to law enforcement when back ashore. The drug drop gone wrong unfolded Monday off the coast of Baja, California. Law enforcement is investigating the incident.
