Art Blooms on the Delaware Riverfront

Brandywine Festival of the Arts

More than 200 artists from 15 states will descend upon Wilmington to showcase and market their original paintings, photography, handmade jewelry, pottery and crafts the weekend after Labor Day.

The Brandywine Festival of the Arts is an annual juried show that began as a simple, downtown street fair in 1961. Today, it has evolved into a nationally recognized event, perennially ranking in the top 100 shows across the country.

Located in the picturesque Josephine Garden section of Brandywine Park, the festival has become a much-anticipated end-of-summer celebration for artists and attendees alike. This year, local food vendors, children’s activities and live music will accompany the eventl, including a dozen or so musicians performing original works. Visit Brandywinearts.com for more information.
