Another option to get to the Big Apple is the Megabus. They've even added extra departures between Philly in New York to accommodate fans and the best part is that fares start as low as a buck.

Get the terms and conditions in writing for whatever package you decide on, including cancellation policy in case you can't make the game.

Be cautious of any package that's extremely cheap. Sometimes it might be too good to be true.

Located in the Bronx and less than a mile from Yankee Stadium, you won't find many hotels closer than the Days Inn. The pros include excellent hotel service and great room condition. The con is that the surrounding neighborhood is a bit sketchy. The average nightly rate runs at $212, though, so you can have a few extra bucks to spend on the expensive beer at Yankees Stadium.

At an average of only $88 per night this is one of the cheapest hotels near Yankee Stadium. But by cheap, we don't only mean the price. Customers have experienced dirty rooms, lazy staff, and noisy nights caused by a subway nearby, according to Hotels.com. We only recommend this for those who are looking to save some dough for the expensive game tickets.

You might need those extra bucks. World Series tickets in the Bronx were going on Stub Hub for as cheap as about $230 but up to $99,000 a seat for a potential Game 7.
