Vendor Preview: NoLibs' 2nd Street Fest

This Sunday, July 31, marks the third annual 2nd Street Festival in Northern Liberties. North Second Street will be closed off to traffic between Germantown and Fairmount Avenues; the street will be transformed into an outdoor bazaar/block party bonanza, complete with food trucks, beer gardens, live music, workshops, and of course, shopping.

According to the festival's event planner, Akiko Moorman, this Sunday's event will be even better than previous years' festivals: "This year is unique, as we have incorporated as a non-profit entity dedicated to community building," Moorman tells The Feast. "We have also partnered with the Philadelphia Folksong Society, the non-profit that runs the Philadelphia Folk Festival. Also, this year we have more local business sponsoring the event, the Northern Liberties Business Owners Association, the Northern Liberties Neighbor Association, Jose Cuervo, Miller Lite, and Jameson."

An eclectic mix of local, independent craftspeople and boutiques will be selling their wares at the event, from The Feast/Shop favorites like Arcadia Boutique and Duke & Winston, to Philly-based jewelry designers and printmakers.
