Dine Out in University City

Three courses, three prices

Dining Days are back in University City and the week of affordable three-course dinners has been extended to two weeks from Thursday, July 15 to Thursday, July 29.

This is the fifth year of the dining experience and it features an impressive 29 restaurants -- the largest number to date.

The concept is three courses for three different prices -- $15, $25 or $30. Choose the price you want to pay and pick a restaurant that offers it.

Since a lot of students leave University City for the summer, business tends to slow. Dining Days hopes to draw more attention to the restaurants in this area and bring people in.

“Our research suggests that well more than half of Dining Days attendees are from outside the neighborhood and many of those are from outside of Philadelphia, illustrating the impact and reach of this promotion and, possibly more importantly, the overwhelming interest in this neighborhood’s dining options,” said Lori Brennan in a press release. Brennan helped launch Dining Days in 2005.

There’s something for every taste during Dining Days. You can get sushi at Pod, Italian at Penne Restaurant and Wine Bar or Mexican at Distrito. If none of those interest you, there are 26 other restaurants to choose from. You're sure to find something you like.

The price does not include tax, gratuity or alcohol, so bring a little extra cash.

Diners are encouraged to make reservations directly through the restaurants.
