Train Rocks Out at Montco Engagement Party

A local couple celebrated their engagement party with a special performance by Train

A Montgomery County couple celebrated like rock stars at their engagement party Thursday night.

Ambler, Pa. lovebirds Colby Carr and Jennie O’Neil submitted a winning kiss to radio station Q102’s “Marry Me” online-photo contest and got a rockin’ prize.

Q102 listeners voted to give the couple a celebration to remember -- a personal performance by Grammy Award-winning rock band Train at their engagement party.

“We just thought it was a cool idea and they were excited about it,” said lead singer Patrick Monahan.

The couple was thrilled to ring in their engagement with the help of the famous rock-pop band.

“Best feeling in the world. Can’t even describe it!” said smiling bride-to-be Jennie.

Train took to the couple's back yard to perform their hit single, “Marry Me,” along with other popular songs for the couple's friends, family and six-month-old son Colby Jr.

“Everyone we love is here supporting us," said Jennie.

The band was happy to help the lucky couple celebrate their upcoming nuptials.

“It was an exciting day for them and it’s really fun for us to come out and do stuff like this,” said guitarist Jimmy Stafford.

“The perfect day, the perfect party,” said Colby Sr.
