For 16 years, folks dining before a show would head to upscale Italian restaurant Girasole. In 2005, they closed up shop, leaving a void in the bellies of many patrons.
Starting today, Girasole’s back. Owners Gino and Franco Iovino has positioned the new incarnation of the restaurant within a stone’s throw of Symphony House, continuing the pre-theater tradition, especially with a $35 three-course prix-fixe menu offered Sundays through Fridays. The new spot has an Italian-bistro feel with a more formal dining room in the back and a bar set up like a café in the front. Menu highlights include homemade pastas, offerings from the raw bar and fish carpaccios of tuna, sea bass and more.
Girasole will be open for lunch weekdays from 11:30-2:30 and dinner every night starting at 5:00.
